27 TPB Cover.

Rubik’s Cube.

Just a quick late night illustration, surprisingly enough it’s concept art for a short comic I’m trying to develop.  I’ve never had much luck with the puzzle but I like the visual metaphor it can represent.

ÉGOÏSTE 2.

Just something I’ve been working on in my spare time.  I should have something more finished posted sometime tomorrow (different than the piece above).  As always, I just wanted to thank everyone who comes by to check out my blog/work.  Time to get back to the film.

At the Beach.

Just some life drawings from October featuring two models on the beach.  I may have went a little overboard on the first but I’m happy with the outcome.  Thank you everyone for coming by and checking out my work; I promise to update this thing more regularly.  Enjoy!

27 Cover 3 & 4

I guess it’s safe to post the last two covers I did for Charles Soule’s “27″ as MTV Geek has them on their site.  #3 above and 4 below.  As like the previous, they are based off of iconic portraits/photos of members from the “27 Club”.  I already spoiled #2 but you can still guess the [...]

27 Cover #2

For 27, Charles Soule thought that using iconic rock portraits as inspiration would be fitting; so I went with Robert Johnson’s image as a base.  As you can probably see, this cover went through a couple different iterations before getting to the final image. Originally I had some famous musicians standing behind Garland  - even [...]

Forgetless TPB Cover

Finally, something I can post!  This is the cover to the Forgetless Trade Paperback (out in October).  I was trying out a new coloring technique in Photoshop; I am not sure if it was very successful but it may grow on me.  As an extra, I’ve also attached some of the preliminary ideas above. Things [...]

27 Cover.

A cover illustration for Charles Soule’s comic pitch “27″; I took a different approach with this cover than my usual work but it was fun nonetheless.  This was painted during my March break alongside doing Forgetless pages with finishing retouches last night.  Anyways, back to comics; enjoy!

“M”.

An illustration assignment for a class at school.  It’s a poster for my 4th year film “M” (working title) and it features Matilda. I vaguely tried to hint at a story even if it’s not readily apparent.  This was all drawn in Photoshop and rather quickly, about 5 hours on and off when all is [...]

Faulted Perfection.

A while back I posted a Cloud Lady and her Writer (here) from our third year group film. After a lot of changes over a few months – we finally have this, a Boy and his Cloud.  I tried mirroring the old illustration / piece to this new one, not sure how successful it was [...]

Forgetless Cover #5.

Busy busy times. The final cover to Forgetless, featuring Sara and the guy in a koala suit. Traditionally painted with some digital enhancements. The original painting is 16″ x 24″ or something along those lines. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, it being my first time working with acrylic washes over a gloss [...]

Sunny Days.

I’ve been doing a lot of traditional painting lately, trying to get away from what I am comfortable with.  Anyways, this was a christmas present for a friend of mine; also, “Happy Holidays” to any readers out there!
